Author Cynthia Zingale Releases 'Feelings'; a Book About an Inspiring Middle School Journey that Emphasizes Growth, Friendship, and Resilience

Canton, MI; November 12, 2024: Mascot Kids is excited to announce the release of Feelings, a captivating new children’s book that follows Max, a passionate young soccer player, as he navigates the challenges and triumphs of starting middle school. Written by local author Cynthia Zingale and illustrated by Rachel Novel, this book offers an engaging exploration of friendship and personal growth.

In Feelings, Max eagerly anticipates joining his school’s soccer team alongside his best friends, Leo and Luke. After spending the summer perfecting their skills—dribbling, shooting, and scoring—the trio is ready for the big leagues. However, Max’s journey takes an unexpected turn as he faces emotional and social challenges he never anticipated.

As Max deals with these new obstacles, he learns valuable lessons about self-discovery, the importance of staying true to oneself, and the power of expressing one's feelings. This beautifully illustrated story captures the essence of resilience and the importance of supportive friendships during the formative years of middle school.

Feelings offers young readers and their families a heartfelt narrative about overcoming adversity and growing through life's challenges, making it a must-read for anyone looking to inspire and uplift young minds.

Cynthia Zingale grew up in Bethesda, Maryland, and currently lives in Michigan. She has worked as a teacher, an after-school program coordinator, and a tutor. She holds a master’s degree in elementary education from The George Washington University. Her years of experience working with children have inspired her to write Feelings. She hopes that Max’s story can help young people feel less alone.
